Trainer thoughts on web design techs and tools

I’ve been playing with HTML5 Canvas. All the examples I’ve seen are either overly simplified (for teaching purposes) or full-blown applications (like Sketchpad). I’m trying to figure out how your average web developer might incorporate it into their websites. I don’t have a great answer yet, but I am having fun with it!

At Webucator, we do a lot of giveaways and we commissioned a Flash-based solution, which we call the Webuwheel. I’m no designer, but I tried to do something similar with HTML5 Canvas. I couldn’t get it to run in WordPress, so it’s hosted on our main site. Have a look: An HTML Canvas-based Raffle Picker.
